As with any of our items they can be crafted without a routed edge if preferred.

The entire stool is crafted for 3/4 inch thick Medium Density Fiberboard. All the joints are glued and screwed in place and the screw heads have all been concealed with hardwood Maple plugs which are also glued in place. The top surfaces of the steps are an equal 8 inches apart and each step measures approximately 13 inches in width by 9 inches in depth and supports up to 250 pounds (113 Kilograms). Perfect for reaching high kitchen cupboards and closet shelves, dusting valances, light fixtures and ceiling fans without hauling out the bulky stepladder, climbing into those high beds and so many other numerous daily tasks. The stool is compact enough to avoid consuming your valuable floor space yet extends your reach an additional 16 inches. The overall dimensions of the 2 step stool are 13 inches in width, 16 inches in height, 18 inches in depth and weighs approximately 14 pounds. The stool also has a charming classic routed edge along the exterior perimeter.

MDF is ideal for latex or oil painting, mosaic or ceramic art, decoupage and is an excellent foundation for veneers and laminates of all kinds. It will accept a broad range of sealers, primers, and coatings to produce a hard durable surface and is an excellent choice for a wide range of projects.
