As with any of our items they can be crafted without a routed edge if preferred.

All plaques are 3/4 inch thick Medium Density Fiberboard. These plaques have a very striking routed edge along the entire outside perimeter. Two mounting holes (on the rectangular plaques) have also been provided in the backside of the plaques so they can be hung horizontally or vertically upon completion of the decorating process, if you choose to wall mount. These items, in addition to any of our other plaques, also make fantastic bases for displaying countless hobby projects on. The simplicity of design blends in well with any decor, adding charm and beauty to any room.

MDF is ideal for latex or oil painting, mosaic or ceramic art, decoupage and is an excellent foundation for veneers and laminates of all kinds. It will accept a broad range of sealers, primers, and coatings to produce a hard durable surface and is an excellent choice for a wide range of projects.
