This is Not an import, this 3/4 inch thick segment of Medium Density Fiberboard has been completely fashioned and sanded smooth in our Western New York woodshop. A regular octagon is a polygon that has eight equal sides and angles and is often used as a symbol of regeneration, it is mid-way between the square and the circle and as a geometric figure it is derived from the octagram. Each of the sides on this clock are approximately 5-13/16 inches in length, the internal angle at each vertex is 135 degrees and the octagon has an approximate flat surface area of 145 square inches. You can view our short 1 minute quartz clock video on YouTube.com by clicking HERE. The plaque has a very attractive classic routed edge along the entire outside edge and a mounting hole has been provide in the back for wall hanging. The clock plaque has a recessed 1/2 inch deep by 3-1/4 inch diameter hole in the back to accommodate the mini quartz clock movement which is included and allows the plaque to rest much closer to a finished wall than many clock plaques sold at hobby stores or craft sites on the Internet. Included in this auction are the clock works ("AA" battery not included) and a set of 3-3/4 inch black plastic hands (as shown). MDF is ideal for latex or oil painting, mosaic or ceramic art, decoupage and is an excellent foundation for veneers and laminates of all kinds. It will accept a broad range of sealers, primers, and coatings to produce a hard durable surface and is an excellent choice for a wide range of projects. The simplicity of design blends in well with any decor, adding charm and beauty to any room. The hands will be removed for shipping to protect them from damage during handling and to make it much easier to complete the decorating process. They are simply pressed onto the shaft of the clockworks and are very easy to reinstall. This clock can also be crafted with a square edge at the same cost if preferred. $ 30.95 - Shipping Weight 5 lbs. Questions? E-mail Us!
