As with any of our items they can be crafted without a routed edge if preferred.

The overall dimensions of the mantle clock are 12 inches in width, 12 inches in height and  3 inches in depth (base is 12 inches by 3 inches and the top segment is 9 inches by 11-1/4 inches). The item also has a very attractive routed edge along the entire outside perimeter. The clock plaque has a 3/8 inch shaft hole and a recessed 3-1/4 inch diameter hole in the back to accommodate a mini clock works which are available at most craft shops or many Internet hobby sites. The thickness of the material the clock movement shaft will pass through is 1/4 inch thick and the recessed hole in the back conceals nearly all of the clock works from view.

MDF is ideal for latex or oil painting, mosaic or ceramic art, decoupage and is an excellent foundation for veneers and laminates of all kinds. It will accept a broad range of sealers, primers, and coatings to produce a hard durable surface and is an excellent choice for a wide range of projects. The simplicity of design blends in well with any decor, adding charm and beauty to any room.
